Online Roulette Strategies

Roulette is a game of high odds and it should be played for fun and not for profit, but by adjusting a little strategy into your game you may find you can get in, make some bets, win some wagers, and leave. Once you know how to play it, you can become a winner, by following these following strategies:

  • Bet three chips on red and two chips on the center column (which has the most black). If red comes up on one of the other columns, you win three chips but lose two. If black comes up in the center column, you win four chips and lose three. If both center and red come up, you win seven chips. If black is coming up more often, bet it and play the outside column (which has the most red). You won't win or lose much using this method, but it allows you to play for a considerable amount of time.

  • Look for someone who's winning at the table. Start making the same bets they're making. Maybe they know something or are on a lucky streak.

  • Remember that the best strategy or bet is an outside, even-money bet with en-prison or surrender, which will drop the house odds to 2.63 percent on the American wheel and 1.35 percent on the French wheel. Since roulette is a game of chance, streaks can be very important to you. Be alert for a winning streak. Increase the size of your bet as you win. Be ready to quit once the streak ends.
  • Do not put too much stock in any particular roulette system. There is no mathematical certainty that one system or another will provide any extra chance of winning, and some systems can actually be downright costly to your bankroll.

  • Don't bother to look for a biased wheel. Today's casinos examine and measure the ivory ball; the wheel is inspected and balanced frequently; and the dealers are scrutinized closely It would be unusual for you to find a biased game.

  • Since the house odds are cut in half when you play the French wheel versus the American one, you might want to look for a single-zero wheel to play it shouldn't be difficult; many American casinos are starting to use the French wheel.

  • Only wager on even-money and low-odds choices at roulette. They offer the lowest house advantages of any bets available to you.

  • Never play the five-spot (0, 00, 1, 2, 3) on the American wheel.
Because roulette is a game of chance, you should just play the game for fun, excitement, and entertainment value.

  • Manage your session money carefully. Set aside a given amount to play with; if you lose 50 percent of it, its time to quit. Set a win target, and when you reach it, quit.
